  • Macmillan Cancerline: Information and emotional support for people living with cancer. Trained nurses available on Helpline Mon-Friday 9am-8pm: 0808 808 00 00 or  www.macmillan.org.uk  for Cancer related subjects, work, insurance, benefits etc.
  • Breastcancer Care - medical info, drugs treatment, chat room, listening ear, etc.  Helpline - 0808 800 6000. Mon-Fri, 9am -5pm, Saturday 9am -2pm. Or www.breastcancercare.org.uk  
  • www.Lavendertrust.org.uk -  support for younger women affected by breast cancer. (A branch of Breast Cancer Care).
  • Maggie Centre – Churchill Hospital, Oxford – Library of cancer related books/booklets, listening ear, info, assistance with web links, self help, and complementary  therapies, self help courses ie Living with cancer Courses,. Available to all, whether NHS or Private patients. Drop-in service, Mon-Friday or phone 01865 225690.

  • Larger M&S stores will give a fitting service. Larger Asda stores also have a range of Mastectomy bras at competitive prices.

  • The Churchill Hospital offers a professional, specialist prosthesis, bra & swimwear fitting service to women in Oxfordshire who have had Breast Surgery. Prosthesises and replacements as needed, are provided free of charge to NHS patients. Bras and swimwear are at competitive prices with all proceeds from sales to the breast care service.

The Guideposts Trust Independent Living Centre, in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council, provides information on products and organisations to assist people with disabilities and older people to increase and maintain their independence.
The Centre, based in Witney, provides this service to any adult residing in Oxfordshire. The Centre has a showroom with equipment for the kitchen, lounge, bedroom and bathroom. Two Occupational Therapists are available for personal and confidential consultations, by appointment. There is also an Information Line available 01993
